Overview
Arizona ESA funds can be used to cover educational expenses such as tutoring, therapies, and classes, including Outschool. Families can pay for Outschool classes in three ways:
ClassWallet Marketplace
Families can purchase individual classes.
Outschool Memberships are not available through the marketplace.
Reimbursement
Families can purchase individual classes with a personal credit card and submit the receipt for reimbursement.
Families can also purchase an Outschool Membership, request a custom receipt from Outschool support with charges itemized by learner, and submit that receipt for reimbursement.
ESA Debit Card
Families can purchase individual classes with their ESA debit card and submit the receipt.
Families can also purchase an Outschool Membership, request a custom receipt from Outschool support with charges itemized by learner, and submit that receipt.
How does ordering classes through the ClassWallet Marketplace work?
1️⃣ Apply and Qualify
Apply for Arizona’s ESA program.
Once approved, you will receive ClassWallet access.
2️⃣ Log In to ClassWallet and Choose a Learner
Sign in to ClassWallet.
Select the learner account you want to use.

3️⃣ Find and Buy a Class
In ClassWallet, click on Outschool.
You will be redirected to your Outschool account.
⚠️ Make sure the same learner is selected in both systems before checkout.
4️⃣ Enrollment Confirmation
You will get confirmation emails from both ClassWallet and Outschool.
Once approved, your learner is enrolled and can join class at the scheduled time.
⚠️ Buying for multiple learners? Start a new ClassWallet session for each one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Payments and Eligibility
Can I buy any Outschool class with ESA funds?
Yes. All classes are auto-approved in the ClassWallet marketplace.
Can I use ESA funds for memberships?
Outschool Memberships cannot be purchased through the ClassWallet marketplace, but you can buy with a credit card or ESA debit card and request a custom itemized receipt for reimbursement.
Do ClassWallet purchases count toward membership credits?
No. Membership credits only apply to purchases made directly in your Outschool account.
Can I use stored balance with ClassWallet orders?
Stored balances do not apply to ClassWallet marketplace purchases.
Enrollment Options
Can I enroll in recurring weekly classes?
Yes. You can enroll for up to 18 weeks at once (or as many weeks as scheduled). All weeks are charged upfront.
To continue beyond 18 weeks, place another order to extend your enrollment.
⚠️ Recurring enrollments through ClassWallet cannot be paused.
Can I pay weekly for fixed-length classes?
ClassWallet does not allow recurring payments. You must either:
Pay for the full class upfront, or
Bulk enroll for 4 to 18 weeks at checkout (up to the total number of scheduled weeks). To continue beyond 18 weeks, place another order to extend your enrollment.
Tutoring and 1-on-1 Sessions
Can I book 1-on-1 tutoring?
Yes, families can use their ESA funds through the ClassWallet marketplace to purchase up to 12 sessions of tutoring per order.
Steps:
Log in to ClassWallet.
On the class page, click View Availability.
Choose your start date and session times.
Select how many sessions (up to 12).
Complete your ClassWallet order.
If your educator is not available for some sessions, the total cost will adjust.
✅ Want tutoring more than once per week? Place a separate order for each day.
✅ To add more sessions later, use Add Meeting from your enrollment page and complete another ClassWallet order.
Managing Your Enrollment
What if the class time does not work anymore?
For fixed-length classes: ask the teacher about transferring to another section. Transfers are at the teacher’s discretion.

For recurring classes, contact the Support Team to assist you with shortening your enrollment and issuing any necessary refunds based on the class refund policy.
Refunds
How do refunds work for classes purchased through ClassWallet?
Refunds will be visible from the transactions page immediately, but you may not see your refund reflected in your ClassWallet balance for up to 14 business days from issuance.
