How to Get a Receipt for Public Funding Reimbursement

How families can get a receipt for Outschool classes when requesting public funding reimbursement

Many public funding programs require families to submit a receipt when requesting reimbursement for Outschool classes. This article explains how to get a receipt from Outschool for this purpose.

How to get a standard receipt from Outschool

A standard receipt is available for many classes purchased on Outschool. This option works when you paid for a class individually at checkout or when your public funding program requires the information Outschool provides on a standard receipt.

A standard receipt includes details such as the parent name, learner name, provider name, type of service, dates of service, class name, teacher name, class duration, payment method, date paid, subscription week, and total price.

To download a standard receipt:

Note: The following steps are for classes paid for directly at checkout, not classes paid with a membership stored balance (see below more detail about receipts with memberships).

  1. Go to your parent dashboard and click on your learner’s profile/name.

  2. Click on the Transactions tabs and scroll down

  3. Click on the Receipts button under "Transactions for”

  4. Select a date range for the receipt: Start date and End date

    1. make sure that the selected date range includes the class purchase dates, otherwise no transactions will appear

  5. Click the Find matching transactions button.

  6. Enter your learner’s full legal name.

  7. Click the Generate my receipt button.

  8. Download the receipt for the matching transactions (PDF).

How to get a custom receipt from Outschool

Contact Outschool Support to request a custom receipt when your public funding program requires details that are not included on the standard receipt. For classes paid with Membership credits, a custom receipt is required.

Please note that custom receipts can take up to 10 business days.
