Options for using Florida scholarship funds on Outschool
There are three ways to purchase Outschool classes using your Florida scholarship funds:
Live instruction with Florida-approved educators can be purchased through the Education Marketplace Assistant (EMA) using program-funded credits, also called a Learning Passport.
Live instruction with educators who meet the requirements in the 2025-2026 Purchasing Guide can be purchased and submitted for reimbursement.
Outschool Self-Paced Classes can be purchased in MyScholarShop.
Review each option below for eligibility considerations, purchase steps, and any required documentation.
Option 1: Purchase program-funded credits in EMA
Families can use EMA to purchase program-funded credits for eligible live Outschool classes with Florida-approved educators.
Before purchasing program-funded credits in EMA
Before purchasing program-funded credits in EMA, complete these two steps:
Review how Learning Passports can be used. Program-funded credit bundles, also called Learning Passports, are non-transferable credits for eligible, state ESA-approved Outschool classes. They may be subject to both state and Outschool restrictions. Review your state’s specific terms and expiration dates ahead of time to make the most of your Learning Passport! Learn more about the Learning Passport here.
Make sure your Florida scholarship email address is associated with your existing Outschool account. To receive your program-funded credits, your Outschool account must use the same email address associated with your Florida scholarship.
Note: If you are new to Outschool, create an account with the same email address associated with your Florida scholarship by visiting outschool.com. Once your account has been created and your order approved, your program-funded credit bundles will be added to your account.
