Purchasing Outschool Classes with the Children First Education Fund (Utah)

How to use a Children First Education Fund scholarship to purchase classes on Outschool

Outschool is an approved vendor for the Children First Education Fund (CFEF). CFEF is a Utah nonprofit scholarship organization that provides school choice funding for students with disabilities, including homeschool students, through the Carson Smith Opportunity Scholarship.

This article is only for Utah families using the Children First Education Fund (CFEF); this is different from buying program-funded Outschool credits through Odyssey or Utah Fits All.

Checking Outschool class eligibility for CFEF

Before purchasing, review CFEF's eligible use of scholarship funds guidelines to confirm which classes qualify. Families can then search for Outschool classes that align with their program requirements.

Purchasing Outschool Classes with CFEF

CFEF does not currently support direct purchase through a funding marketplace; families purchase Outschool classes by personal credit card or similar personal payment method.

Requesting CFEF reimbursement for Outschool classes

When submitting your CFEF reimbursement request, you will need a receipt for your Outschool enrollments. To learn how to get a receipt from Outschool, see "How to Get a Receipt for Public Funding Reimbursement."

Review the CFEF Reimbursement Guide for receipt requirements and reimbursement steps specific to the Children First Education Fund.
