Overview
There are three ways to purchase Outschool classes using your funds.
Live instruction with Florida-approved educators can be purchased with program funded credit (Learning Passport) purchased through the Education Marketplace Assistant (EMA).
Live instruction with educators who meet the requirements in the 2025-2026 Purchasing Guide can be purchased and submitted for reimbursement.
Outschool Self-Paced Classes and Digital Resources can be purchased in MyScholarShop.

Purchasing Outschool Cash in EMA for Live Instruction
Families can use their Florida scholarship funds in EMA to purchase program-funded credit bundles for live tutoring with educators who are Florida-approved.
Log in to your EMA account and navigate to the marketplace. Then, select Find Providers.
2. Search for Outschool.com and click on the Outschool listing from the list of providers.
3. Select the location, Outschool.com
4. Scroll down and select the service level that you would like to offer. Then select Add to Cart.
5. When you are ready to check out, select Reserve Funds. This adds the specified amount of program-funded credit bundles to the purchaser’s Outschool balance to use toward purchasing Outschool classes with Florida-approved educators. Families can purchase increments of $50, $100, $200, or $500.
6. View your balance from your Transactions Page on Outschool.com.
New to Outschool? If you are new to Outschool, create an account with the same email address associated with your Florida scholarship by visiting outschool.com. Once your account has been created and your order approved, your program-funded credit bundles will be added to your account.
Existing Outschool Family? If you already have an Outschool account using the email associated with your Florida scholarship, program-funded credit bundles will be credited to your existing account within three business days, ready for you to redeem toward future classes with Florida-approved educators.
💡 Please note that program-funded credit bundles (Learning Passports) are non-transferable credits for eligible, state ESA-approved Outschool classes. They may be subject to both state and Outschool restrictions. Review your state’s specific terms and expiration dates to make the most of your Learning Passport! Learn more
💡 Once you have program-funded credits on your account, you will be able to use these credits to enroll in classes that are approved by your state program. Click here for FAQs about using program-funded credits.
Requesting Reimbursement for Live Outschool Classes
How can I submit Outschool classes for reimbursement?
Outschool’s live online classes can be purchased using a credit card and submitted for reimbursement if they meet the state requirements. We strongly recommend submitting the class for approval to SUFS before enrolling the learner to ensure it qualifies for reimbursement.

All requirements can be found in the 2025-2026 Parent Handbook for the Florida Choice Scholarships.

You can use the following to submit proof of payment:

For enrichment classes or 1:1 tutoring with educators who are not Florida-approved, please reach out to the teacher prior to enrolling in the class to request the necessary documentation. It is the teacher’s discretion to supply it.
Documentation of certification: (The documentation below must be included with the first reimbursement request with that provider)
The DOE certification number if the tutor is certified,
The school district issuing the adjunct teaching certificate
A bachelor’s or graduate degree in the subject area.
This may be a copy of the bachelor’s or graduate degree diploma or official college transcript stating the degree conferred.
If the diploma does not show the tutor’s major, please submit the transcripts instead.
Purchasing Self-Paced Classes Through MyScholarShop
What is a Self-Paced class?
While the vast majority of Outschool classes feature live meetings, we also offer an asynchronous Self-Paced Class format. Outschool’s Self-Paced Classes are available for purchase in MyScholarShop and are classified as a “Stand-Alone Online Class.”
The Purchasing Guide specifies that guardians may purchase online courses that are appropriate for their scholarship student. Scholarship funds may not be used to pay for full-time online instruction. A stand-alone online class does not permit live, interactive instruction.
What is a Digital Resource?
An Outschool digital resource is a downloadable, self-paced learning tool designed to support learners with independent practice and enrichment. It includes printable materials and activities that can be used anytime, without requiring video instruction or direct support from the educator. Perfect for families seeking flexible, screen-free learning opportunities to reinforce key skills at home.
How to purchase Self-Paced Classes and Digital Resources using MyScholarShop
Log in to your EMA account and navigate to the marketplace. Then, select MyScholarShop.
2. Type Outschool in the search bar to find classes and digital resources.
3. When you find a Self-Paced class or Digital Resource you want to purchase, use the comments section on MyScholarShop to share your learner name and date of birth, and select the 'Share with Supplier' box. Outschool cannot complete the enrollment without this information.
4. Outschool will enroll you using the email address associated with your MyScholarShop account. Please allow three business days for orders to be processed.
How do refunds work when I purchase a Self-Paced Class or Digital Resource through MyScholarShop?
Your learner will receive all content immediately. Please note that in Outschool’s Class Cancellation Policy, once Outschool processes your enrollment, you are not eligible for a refund if you cancel the enrollment.
We recommend reviewing the Class Experience section on the class details page before finalizing your purchase.
Who can I contact if I have a question?
The Outschool Support Team will be able to answer any questions you may have about the ordering process for Florida scholarship families.
