How do Outschool classes work with my ClassWallet funds?
How do Outschool classes work with my ClassWallet funds?

Below are some frequently asked questions about how enrollments work once you have enrolled through your ESA program.

Updated over a week ago

Where can I find the classes my learner is enrolled in?

You will be able to see the classes your learner is enrolled in from your learner schedule. When it is time for class, simply click on the class title from your schedule, and your learner can enter the classroom to join the live meeting. You can learn more about how to prepare for your first class here.

What do I do if the class time no longer works for my schedule?

If the current meeting time no longer works for your schedule in a fixed-length class, you can reach out to the teacher to request a transfer to a different section. All payments made through your ESA marketplace will transfer with your enrollment. Please note that all transfer requests are at the teacher's discretion, so making this request does not guarantee a transfer.

If you would like to cancel a meeting in a 1-on-1 class, click here for detailed instructions.

If you would like to end your enrollment early in a recurring weekly class, please reach out to the support team to assist you with shortening your enrollment and issuing any necessary refunds based on the class refund policy.

Can I pause my enrollment in a recurring weekly class?

At this time, enrollments purchased through ESA marketplaces (ClassWallet, etc.) cannot be paused. Please reach out to the support team to make any changes to your order.

How do I renew my enrollment in a subscription class?

When you click the subscribe button for a subscription class, you can enroll in up to 18 weeks of classes (or as many weeks as the educator has scheduled). You will be charged for all weeks upfront. The day the subscription ends, you can re-enroll in the class and continue the subscription for up to 18 weeks.

Please note that your program's booking window will apply. Read here for more information on how to use ESA funds for subscription-based classes.

How do refunds work for classes purchased through ClassWallet?

When you receive refunds from Outschool for classes purchased via ClassWallet, you’ll receive a confirmation email immediately, but these refunds are processed slower than regular Outschool refunds. Refunds will be visible from the transactions page immediately, but you may not see your refund reflected in your ClassWallet balance for up to 14 business days from issuance.

How do I add additional meetings to my 1-on-1 tutoring enrollment?

If you would like to extend your current enrollment, you can select Add Meeting to schedule new meetings from your enrollment page. You will be able to renew your enrollment for up to 12 weeks and will be redirected to ClassWallet to complete your order.

ClassWallet approved my order, but Outschool canceled it. Why didn’t my order process?

Orders can fail to process for various reasons, including:

  • The teacher changed their availability or canceled the class meeting(s) after the order was started

  • Another learner purchased one or more of the requested meeting times before the pending enrollment was processed

  • An order was flagged as a duplicate by ClassWallet and was rejected

  • All seats were taken in the class before the order was processed

  • There was a delay during the approval process and the class started before the order was approved

  • The order was created with a link that is not compatible with ClassWallet (e.g.; auto-scheduled sections and recurring private meetings in 1-on-1 classes)

While orders are being approved, ClassWallet holds the funds for enrollment until the order is processed completely. When a class is unavailable or an order is not approved, ClassWallet will return the funds to your account balance.

Outschool does not collect payment until the order is approved and the enrollment is complete. Parents can contact the ClassWallet team for a timeline on when funds for canceled orders will be returned to their account.
