As Outschool learners continue to make friends around the world, some families have begun to request virtual parties as Outschool classes to celebrate birthdays or other milestones! This article will guide you through working with a teacher to set up a private party through Outschool. Please also read through our article on Gift Enrollments to learn the specifics of purchasing gift enrollments for your Outschool party.

If you're a parent looking for a virtual birthday party, start by contacting one of your Outschool teachers to schedule a time and share how many party participants (learners) you expect to attend. We recommend messaging a teacher about an existing one-time class, the preferred format for birthday parties.

Once you’ve communicated with the teacher, they can create a private section for you and provide a direct link for you to enroll.

If you’d like to pay on behalf of all participants

  1. Click the private section link provided by the teacher, and enroll your learner, also purchasing the necessary number of gift enrollments to fill the class section.
  2. Share your unique gift URL with each parent of the party participants.
  3. Each participating parent should use your gift link to claim their enrollment(s), and they’ll automatically be enrolled in the private party (class) with your learner(s).
  4. You and all party participants should begin the party at the agreed-upon time by using the Join Live Meeting button on the Classroom.
  5. Enjoy your party!

If you don’t plan to pay on behalf of all participants

  1. Use the private section link provided by the teacher to enroll your learners
  2. Send the link to the parents of all other party participants, who can each enroll as normal in the section.
  3. You and all party participants should begin the party at the agreed-upon time by using the Join Live Meeting button on the Classroom.
  4. Enjoy your party!
