A Guide to Class Buyouts on Outschool

Learn how Outschool class buyouts work for schools, organizations, employers, and families

What are class buyouts?

A class buyout is when a school, organization, or employer purchases all available seats in a class section for a specific learner group. This makes the class section private and reserved only for learners connected to that school, organization, or employer.

Class buyouts may be a good fit for larger group learning needs, such as supplemental classes, after-school programs, special subjects, or employee benefit programs.

Who can request a class buyout?

Class buyout requests are only available for schools, organizations, and employers that want to purchase a class experience for a learner group.

Common class buyout requesters include:

  • Schools looking for supplemental classes, after-school programs, or special subjects

  • Organizations coordinating learning opportunities for a group of learners

  • Employers offering child enrichment programs as part of employee benefits

How can a school, organization, or employer request a class buyout?

Complete the Buyout Information Request form to begin the request process. The form collects general information about your organization, learner group, and preferred scheduling details to help us evaluate and plan your request.

Please note: Custom class buyouts require a minimum of 6 weeks lead time for planning and scheduling.

What if you are a parent and you want to book all the seats for a private class?

Families interested in a private group class, such as a birthday party or other event, should coordinate directly with the teacher. The Buyout Information Request form is for schools, organizations, and employers only.
