How Teachers Get Approved for Florida Scholarship Enrollments

How Outschool teachers can apply to become approved for Florida scholarship-funded enrollments.

Florida scholarship enrollments require a separate educator approval process through EMA, managed by Step Up for Students. Teachers who want to become eligible for Florida scholarship enrollments should set up a Personal Provider Account in EMA and complete the required approval steps.

This article explains how Outschool teachers can apply for Florida EMA educator approval.

Set up a Florida EMA Personal Provider Account

To apply to become a Florida-approved educator, set up a Personal Provider Account in the Education Market Assistant (EMA).

To qualify, you must:

  1. Meet the credential requirement
    You must hold either:

    • A bachelor’s degree or higher, or

    • A valid Florida teaching credential

  2. Apply for a Personal Provider Account in EMA
Submit your application through Florida’s EMA platform so the state can verify your qualifications.

  3. Upload your credentials under the category Part-Time Tutoring
Be sure to include your valid degree or Florida teaching license during the application process.

  4. Request to join Outschool, Inc. from your EMA account
Once your credentials are submitted, search for and request to join Outschool, Inc. from within your EMA profile.
