Keep All Communication on Outschool

When you connect with a family through Outschool, the communication, classes, and payments related to that relationship must remain on the platform. You also may not use Outschool to direct families to outside services or businesses.

Keeping these interactions on Outschool allows us to help when a concern arises. We can review messages, confirm payments, and issue refunds only when the activity takes place on Outschool. This helps protect both teachers and families.

Use Outschool’s messaging tools for all communication with families you meet through the platform. Do not exchange personal contact information with a parent, guardian, or learner, or use contact information a family shares to continue the conversation outside Outschool. This includes email addresses, phone numbers, social media accounts, and messaging handles.

Teachers and learners must never communicate directly outside of Outschool. This applies to every learner, regardless of age or who initiates the contact.

Any permitted exchange must take place through Outschool messaging and with a parent or guardian.

Outschool does not encourage or endorse in-person meetings with families outside Outschool-sponsored events.

All Outschool classes and payments must remain on Outschool. Live meetings must be launched through the platform; do not move a class to a personal Zoom link or another conferencing service. Outschool can verify payments and issue refunds only for transactions made on the platform.

You may use a learning management system such as Google Classroom as a supporting tool during a live class meeting. Do not use an LMS for self-paced classes, between live meetings, or to communicate with learners outside class. Outschool may request access to the LMS if a concern arises in one of your classes.
