Class images help families understand what your class is about and represent your class across Outschool and when it is shared on social media. Use these guidelines to choose, format, and upload class and marketing images.
Adding and Updating Class Images
To update your class images, go to the Image and Video section on the class Edit tab.
Choosing Content for a Class Image
Make sure your image follows Outschool’s Copyright and Trademark Guidance.
Choose an image that is visually compelling and relevant to the class topic.
If the image includes significant amounts of text, it may receive less promotion.
Your image should generally be ‘family-friendly’ and appropriate for children.
Your image should not depict violence, nudity, or symbols of hate or otherwise violate our class content policy.
Class Image Size and Format Requirements
Using the photo picker widget, you can search for and select a photo online or upload an image from your computer.
Crop your class image to a widescreen 1.9:1 aspect ratio using the photo picker widget.
Your image must be at least 600 pixels wide.
For chat groups, images in new posts are cropped to a 4:3 aspect ratio when uploaded.
Uploaded image files must be under 10 MB.
Adding a Marketing Image for Social Media
Choose a visually appealing marketing image that represents your class effectively in Outschool advertisements.
Upload a square image under the Marketing Image section on the class Edit tab.
The image should be at least 1080 x 1080 pixels.
If a Marketing Image is not uploaded, the class will not be eligible for social media marketing.
