Preventing Enrollments from Learners Outside Your Class's Age Range
Updated over 4 months ago

Teachers can decide whether to accept enrollments from learners outside a class’s age range. In each class listing, you’ll see the option under the Age Group setting to choose a “Flexible age range” or “Strict age range” for all sections of that class.

For classes with a Flexible age range, parents will be shown a warning when enrolling a learner outside of the range.

If you set a Strict age range, parents will be prevented from enrolling out-of-range learners into public sections:

By clicking "message the teacher," parents will have an option to send you a request with more details.

If you want to support the exception, you can send the parent a private section link. Strict age ranges are not enforced on private sections. Then, you can transfer the learner into the requested section once they have enrolled in the class.
