Learning Experience Pledge

At Outschool, our goal is to ensure that every customer is satisfied with their learning experience. To support this commitment, we offer the Learning Experience Pledge, which provides an option for families to receive Outschool credits under certain conditions that fall outside our Standard Refund Policy.

Eligibility for Credits:

If you attend a class and discover it's not the right fit for your learner, you may be eligible for Outschool credits. Here’s how you can qualify:

  1. Notification Requirement: You must contact Outschool support within one week of attending your first live class or accessing self-paced content.

  2. Eligibility: You may request a credit if you are dissatisfied with your class experience. This may include but is not limited to, scenarios such as:

    1. I expected my learner to enjoy a live group class, but tutoring would better match their learning style.

    2. While the instructor was enthusiastic, I found the teaching style too fast-paced for my child’s preferred learning speed.

    3. I registered for an Algebra 1 class, but the content covered more introductory-level skills than I expected, which my learner has already mastered.

    4. My child had an engaging class, but there were some disruptions from other learners that affected their overall experience.

  3. Credit Value: You will receive Outschool credits equivalent to the dollar amount of your original enrollment (e.g. the full value of the class).

  4. Expiration of Credits: The credits will expire after 90 days from the date of issuance. You can review your credit, along with the date of expiration, on your account transactions page.

Additional Conditions and Restrictions:

  • The Learning Experience Pledge is available to all U.S. customers in good standing who comply with our Terms of Service and other applicable policies. The Learning Experience Pledge excludes classes paid or reimbursed via public funding sources (e.g. ESA, Microgrant, or Charter funds). In the event public funding sources were used, the refund will be issued to the method of payment the public funding entity used at the time of purchase.

  • Outschool Unlimited subscription or other subscriptions memberships, and Chat Groups are excluded from The Learning Experience Pledge.
