Outschool Social Media Content Creator Policy

At Outschool, we believe that families, educators, and partners play an important role in sharing authentic experiences and helping others discover learning opportunities. This Social Media Content Creator Policy (“Policy”) is designed to ensure that any references to Outschool, whether by program participants, partners, or community members, are accurate, transparent, and aligned with applicable laws and industry best practices.

This Policy applies to any individual or entity who promotes, references, or discusses Outschool in connection with a program, incentive, partnership, or other business relationship (including the use of referral links, coupon codes, or other promotional tools).

When speaking about Outschool in an online forum, please follow these golden rules:

  • Keep our community dialogue safe and welcoming: Don’t provoke, bully or create unnecessary conflict. Thoughtful discussion is encouraged when it is respectful and appropriate.

  • Be respectful: Please don’t make derogatory or disrespectful comments about learners, teachers, parents, or Outschool staff, even if they are not identified by name.

  • Be kind: Don’t share content that contains or promotes hate speech, threats of violence, or endangerment of children.

  • Follow our Privacy Policy: Don’t share any personally identifiable information or images of parents or learners. This includes names, voices, conversations, or descriptions that could reasonably identify someone.

When referencing Outschool, you are also expected to:

  • Be honest and transparent about your relationship with Outschool;

  • Comply with applicable advertising, disclosure, and consumer protection laws (including FTC guidelines); and

  • Represent Outschool in a manner that is respectful, accurate, and appropriate for a family-focused learning platform.

Failure to comply with this Policy may result in removal from Outschool programs and other actions as permitted under applicable terms.

In connection with participation in the Outschool programs and this Policy, you expressly agree to the following:

1. Brand Representation and Use of Assets. When referencing Outschool, you

agree to use Outschool’s name, logos, and other brand assets in a manner

that is accurate and consistent with Outschool’s brand guidelines (if

provided).

You may not modify, distort, or misrepresent Outschool branding, or present

it in a way that could confuse users about your relationship with Outschool.

Outschool reserves the right to request removal or modification of any

content that misuses its brand or creates confusion.

2. Posting Guidelines. When distributing, promoting, or communicating

information about Outschool, including through the use of Coupon Code,

referral links, or other program-related materials, you must comply with the

terms of use and other applicable branded content policies of the social

media platforms on which you post (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok,

etc.). You acknowledge and agree to comply with all applicable local, state,

national or international laws, rules, or regulations, including, but not limited

guidelines include, but are not limited to:

2.1. Clearly disclosing when you have a financial or family relationship

with Outschool, such as by using hashtags such as #sponsored or

#advertisement, and disclosing your connection to Outschool, and

clearly describe the nature of that relationship (e.g., ‘I receive

compensation from Outschool’).”

2.2. Ensuring your disclosures are clear, easy to understand, and

difficult to miss/prominently displayed in your creative posts.

2.2.1. For example, you will use simple and clear language in

your disclosures or state your disclosure periodically if

doing a live stream.

2.2.2. For example, if an endorsement takes place via video, the

disclosure should be made within the video itself rather

than solely in the description.

2.3. Avoiding ambiguous disclosures like #thanks, #collab, or

#Participant.

2.4. Treating sponsored tags, including tags in pictures, like any other

endorsement.

2.5. Superimposing disclosures over images on image-only platforms

like Snapchat.

2.6. Don’t place disclosures after a “click more” link or in another easy-

to-miss location.

3. Accuracy and No Misrepresentations. You agree that you will not attempt to

mislead anyone in connection with Outschool, either by affirmative

representation, implication, or omission. All statements about Outschool

must reflect your honest opinions, beliefs, and actual experiences. In

particular, you agree that you will not:

3.1 Impersonate any person or entity;

3.2 Create fake accounts, blogs, webpages, profiles, websites, links or

messages;

3.3 Misrepresent your relationship with Outschool or any other third

party

3.3.1 For example, posts that imply that you are just a consumer

when you are actually acting on behalf of Outschool is

misleading;

3.4. Suggest that an affiliation or partnership exists with a third party

where none exists; or

3.5 Make misrepresentations with respect to the characteristics or

qualification requirements to receive compensation under this

Program.

4. Prohibited Content. You agree that you will not use the Outschool brand in

connection with creating and displaying:

4.1. Disparaging or defamatory content concerning Outschool, its

programs, or third parties;

4.2. Content which promotes racism, bigotry, hatred, discrimination or

physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;

4.3. Offensive, abusive, intimidating or harassing content;

4.4. Content that is sexually explicit, obscene and/or contains nudity;

4.5. Political or religious content that suggests endorsement by,

affiliation with, or representation of Outschool;

4.6. Content containing images or reference to drugs, alcohol, tobacco,

weapons or firearms; or

4.7. Content that violates someone else’s privacy.

5. Other Restrictions. In addition, you agree that you will not engage in the

following activities:

5.1. Create websites, domains, URLs, social media handles or email

addresses containing the word “Outschool”;

5.2. Use the names or marks of Outschool competitors;

5.3. Use images of celebrities or other public or private figures without

their written consent;

5.4. Use someone else’s brand name or intellectual property without

their written consent;

5.5. Engage in phishing or attempting to obtain financial or other

personal information;

5.6. Solicit passwords or personally identifiable information;

5.7. Sell, trade or otherwise monetize your Invitation(s), including any

Coupon Code, except as expressly permitted by Outschool. You

may not post your Coupon Code or referral link on couponing or

mass-distribution websites. Invitations must be shared free of

charge for legitimate promotional purposes only. You may not

provide any additional incentives or compensation to new

buyers beyond what is offered through Outschool programs;

5.8. Violate or infringe any copyright, trade secret, or any other

intellectual property rights of another person;

5.9. Advertise your Invitation(s) or the Outschool programs via online

marketplaces, including via Google, Facebook, Bing and Craigslist

or other social media marketplaces;

5.10. Engage in fraudulent activity. You agree that you will not defraud

or abuse (or attempt to defraud or abuse) Outschool.

6. No Spamming. You agree not to send unsolicited or excessive

communications (“spam”) and to remain compliant with CAN-SPAM, the

TCPA, and other applicable laws. The following specific activities are

prohibited:

6.1. Mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not personally

know;

6.2. Use of automated systems or bots through any channel to

distribute, post or respond to your Invitation;

6.3. Use of scripts, programmed or automatic dialers to send invites or

to communicate Invitations; and

6.4. Posting Invitations on event or venue pages without express

permission from the event or venue owner.

7. Right to Monitor and Enforce. Outschool may monitor public content that

references its brand or programs for compliance with this Policy. Outschool

reserves the right to require modification or removal of any content that does

not comply with this Policy.

Outschool may suspend or terminate participation in its programs, or take

other action as permitted under applicable terms, in response to violations of

this Policy.

8. No Endorsement or Agency. Unless expressly authorized by Outschool in

writing, you may not represent that you are acting on behalf of Outschool or

that Outschool endorses your views, content, or services. Your statements

and content reflect your own opinions and experiences.
