Outschool offers the option to pay for classes priced at $50 USD or above with Afterpay. Afterpay allows you to shop now and pay later, breaking up larger purchases into four easy payments, paid every two weeks, without any interest. This article will detail using Afterpay to pay for classes.
What is Afterpay?
Afterpay is a third-party payment tool integrated into Outschool to offer payment plans to our learner families. Using this payment method allows families to break up higher class fees into smaller biweekly payments. Afterpay has its own terms and conditions that you should review before using their service to take advantage of this offer.
How it works
For all eligible purchases, you can select Afterpay as your form of payment after clicking Enroll from a class listing.
When you click Pay, you’ll be sent to the Afterpay website to complete your purchase. If it’s your first time using Afterpay, you’ll need to create an account there, and use a debit or credit card to complete the payment. If you’re a returning Afterpay customer, you can log into your account directly to purchase and confirm.
Before paying, you’ll see the cost of your initial down payment (paid upon enrollment), and a payment schedule for the next six weeks. Every two weeks, the remaining three payments will be deducted from your Afterpay account to the associated credit or debit card. After completing the first payment, you can log into your Afterpay account anytime to view your purchase and make a manual payment.
Refunds to purchases made with Afterpay will follow Outschool’s standard refund policies. When Outschool issues you a refund for a purchase made with Afterpay, the refunded amount will apply to your Afterpay account balance. Please read more about Afterpay refunds in their help center.
To use Afterpay, you must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age in your state of residence). Afterpay is not available for non-U.S. customers, and can only be used by customers with a U.S. billing address, U.S. shipping address, a U.S. Visa or Mastercard or American Express, and a US mobile phone number. Customers with international billing addresses, shipping addresses, and/or phone numbers cannot use Afterpay.
You will only see the option to use Afterpay to complete a purchase for classes that cost at least $50 USD and are below $2,000 USD. Afterpay is not available for gift cards, Groups, or Ongoing Class purchases. Outschool reserves the right to change the eligibility of classes for this option.
Additional eligibility terms may apply. See the Afterpay website for more details.
You must be over 18, a resident of the U.S., and meet additional eligibility criteria to qualify. Late fees may apply. Estimated payment amounts shown on product pages exclude taxes and shipping charges, which are added at checkout. Please refer here to Afterpay’s complete terms. Loans to California residents are made or arranged pursuant to a California Finance Lenders Law license.
